Well, that was quick ...

The Red Sox won the World Series last night.

Now, that's a sentence I honestly didn't expect to be writing ... now, or even soon.

But I did. Whoosh. And 4-zip, at that...

Here's a subhead from the Boston Globe site this morning: "Pigs can fly, hell is frozen, the slipper finally fits, and Impossible Dreams really can come true."

Given that the Red Sox have, um, a bit of history of not quite succeeding in the playoffs, I imagine people all over Boston are still pinching themselves this morning.
