Damian Penny tagged me Friday on a meme on this theme: list five offbeat things about yourself, and then tag five others. (You can read Damian's list here.) My apologies for a delay in responding.
Bearing in mind my parents read this, I have this list.
1. I have a tic of unbending paper clips while I'm talking on the phone ... and then putting them way too close to my ears, just to relieve a scratch. (Sorry, Mom.)
2. When things are really going south, I swear to myself - but compulsively using exactly the same combination of swear words I've been using for about, oh, two decades. (And no, I won't print them here, or anywhere!)
3. If I'm in the car alone, and a tune from what I call the K-Tel era comes on (i.e., the mid-70s, and the cheesier the better), I'm more likely than not to turn up the volume. And sing along.
4. I have difficulty throwing lots of things away, including magazines that are well over 25 years old.
5. My favourite breakfast remains - through the years, and despite trying numerous other options - Rice Krispies and brown sugar.
