Your homegrown seven wonders
Inspired by the Seven Wonders contest that CBC is running (disclosure alert: I work there, though I have zip to do with this), Robert at Product of Newfoundland has been running a similarly themed idea: pick the top seven features in Newfoundland and Labrador. Some great entries are in there so far.
My favourite spot: Green Point, in Gros Morne National Park, which is one of the great geological stops on the planet. (Western Brook Pond is lovely, just to see how the receding glaciers carved out the stone - in recent history, though, in geological time.)

gros morne never ceases to amaze me. just yesterday my son and i left our home in cape ray for a quick run there to photograph the wildlife and coastline in that area. we clocked nearly 900 kilometers return trip. i'll do it again soon !
