We spent some time recently on the Burin Peninsula, one of the areas we decided to explore a bit more this summer. I like Burin a lot, and admire what people there are doing to develop the town: restored heritage buildings, a plan is underway to build integrated attractions, and a terrific boardwalk wraps around a considerable length of the harbour. My wife took this picture of yours truly and our son as we went for a morning walk.
If you're heading down the proverbial boot, make time for a walking tour or two around Burin. There's a great trail, too, around Salt Pond.
