Not Dickens (although he gets a name-check), but Lehrer ... Tom Lehrer, to be precise. I'm always grateful to my parents for playing the pointy-headed satirist during my childhood. It rubbed off. (Incidentally, Daniel Radcliffe, a noted Lehrer fan, covered this last year for a charity album with the Broadway cast of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, right down to every last cadence.)
