Fans of Michael Chabon's books (well, particularly The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay, both a Pulitzer Prize winning epic and an ode to golden-age comic lore) weren't surprised to learn he was courted to write the first Spider-Man sequel. Chabon got a writing credit, but the final screenplay wasn't his. Spidey fans may want to check out McSweeney's, which has posted Chabon's draft as a PDF. This appears to be a time-limited offer. As the mag's site puts it, "As far as we know, this script hasn't been seen anywhere else, and it won't be seen here for long."
