Toronto Tempo is the name of this film by Ryan Emond, who both photographed it and then edited it together. As you'll see, both elements are really remarkable.
A Brian Eno song from 2005's Another Day on Earth is the featured tune of the day, in part because I love how someone adapted it to a time-lapse video of changing seasons at Komoka Provincial Park in Ontario.
Here's a time-lapse video that sounds out: five weeks of preparation and celebration at the annual Burning Man festival, which finished up in Nevada last month.
Or so, that is ... thanks to some time-lapse photography. I love watching things like this come together, particularly since I can't draw straight line!
Dot Dot Dot is Morse code for the letter 'S,' the full message Guglielmo Marconi claimed to have received atop Signal Hill in St. John's in 1901. It ushered in the age of telecommunications. My maternal grandfather worked as a telegraph operator for Canadian Marconi on Signal Hill for many years.
As well, I have a habit of overusing the ellipsis when I write ... as frequent readers might notice.
