Here a few miscellaneous things I've gleaned while catching up, post-travel:
I have to confess that I haven't been watching the return of Family Guy, even though I was happy to see it rise from the dead. Here's a reason to start watching: a parody of a-Ha's Take on Me video, in which Chris is cast in the girl's role. I'll be hoping to catch it again sometime, but this hilarious animated gif fills the void.
Franz Ferdinand released a version of its new single Do You Want To? online last week, to get fans worked up for the October album release. I picked up a copy here. First thought: Fear of Music lives.
Here's a reason for Ken Dryden fans to feel affronted: a contest called The Ultimate Hottest Canadian MP Besides Ken Dryden.
CNET is celebrating its 10th anniversary in various ways, including a peculiar list of the top 10 fads that Internet users forwarded like fire, from the Hampsterdance onward.
