It's been a while since I surveyed blogs with a regional touch; here's some of what's been out there this week. Apologies for what I've missed.
Damian Penny, as always, covers a wide turf, from football picks to 9/11 ruminations. 9/11 is also on Barry Stagg's mind today. Nancy Burden likes the fact "that the guy next to me on the highway is not going to open fire because I cut him off in traffic, and the armed robberies at corner stores in Newfoundland mostly consist of a knife -- or a hand -- in a pocket."
Heather Patey looks at some of the councillors running in this month's municipal election - or, rather, their online materials, and finds much of it wanting. Liam O'Brien has also been blogging a lot on the municipal election, among other matters. Ed Hollett has, as well, been interested in the election, and recently drew a likeness between Danny Williams and Brian Tobin.
Robert at rj:product is in St. John's this weekend to take in Doors Open Days. Debbie Robbins has been dealing with a health crisis in her family. Amy Martin has revealed her true colours: white, as in tennis whites. skarredblog gets excited about an encyclopedia from Saskatchewan. Fred from CBS is seeing red and green over high gas prices. Paul Vincent is seeing red over student aid policies. Matthew Hollett is shooting lots of pics again (or at least posting them); check his archives for a menu.
Douglas Johnston says getting back to blogging after launching his product (DIY Planner, which is cool) is like cleaning up after a party.
