This just (about to be) in ... I'm as guilty as many journalists in engaging in the preview or the set-up: that is, the article that anticipates the story, before it happens. For instance, the report on the provincial budget, the morning it is scheduled to come down; the profile of the candidates heading into an election. Slate takes the implications a few steps forward, with its Washington Week In Preview.

Daily Dot: Slicing the Moon On Feb. 6, 1971, astronaut Alan Shepard used a golf club to knock around some golf balls on the Moon, making both space and golf history. (A true trivia note: Shepard was using a six iron.)
