I like the May 26 reference to John and Yoko. Not only did the bed-in make a strong statement against the war, the debate with Capp was, as you stated, "lively". Of course it made headlines worldwide and every time I hear the song or see the video I think of some hotel room in Montreal.

Our Canadian "brush with greatness" - if I may borrow from Letterman.(great song and video too btw)

However, May 26 may be of greater interest to some of your older readers for another reason. If John Wayne were alive he'd be 100 years old today.
