On May 14, 1968, the grand opening of the Toronto-Dominion Centre in Toronto was held. The main banking tower was completed in '67, but the rest of the complex took longer to complete. People have their distinctive Toronto places; the corner of King and Bay has been a hallmark for me since I was a kid visiting the proverbial big city.
