There's been a hilarious thread the last few days on Twitter, as various people (me included) have taken part in telling the plot of movies ... if you saw them in reverse. The backflick thread can be be read here.
I chipped one in for Planet of the Apes: NYC tourist meets Simian overlords, has long nap in space.
Here are some others I've liked:
Wizard of Oz: three friends escort girl and dog from fancy dress party in green city so that
she can fly house back to Kansas.
Close Encounters of the Third Kind: Aliens drop off humans, who act weird for a while but gradually assimilate into Earth society.
Friday the 13th backwards is about a magic hockey player who heals a bunch of injured teens so they can go home from camp.
Jaws: If you watch 'Jaws' backwards, it's a film about a shark that keeps throwing up people until they open a beach,
Clerks: Twentysomethings open store, discuss films & sex, close store. (That's 'Clerks' forwards, too.).
Bonnie & Clyde: After faking own deaths, couple start economic stimulus program by handing money to insolvent banks.
Godzilla: revived by missiles, giant lizard goes on civil construction spree in downtown Manhattan before retiring to island home
Bambi: A deer abandons his family to
play in the woods with small animals and live with his mother.
Dracula: Kindly old Eastern European gent rises from dead and donates own blood to pallid English people so they can get home.
Wall-E: evil robot exiles humanity
to space, breaks up with his girlfriend, trashes earth in fury.
Superman backwards is about a guy who flies around putting people into precarious situations and then hiding.
Memento backwards: it's Memento, but forwards.
The Momento comment is great.
