Over the last few weeks, Martha and I have been clearing through boxes and boxes in our respective home offices. We're both packrats by nature, but have been pretty good this summer at letting go. Out went years and years of old files (notes, clippings, newspapers, reports, memos, minutes ... you name it), with the confidential stuff fed through the shredder. The picture above is what we put out in our driveway for our twice-monthly recycling pickup. (We don't have curbside recycling, yet, in our neighbourhood of St. John's, so we pay a company to do it for us.)
hey John ... what company do you use for recycling pick-up? I wonder if they'd come to paradise.. hmmmm?

Hi Colleen -
We've been customers of Atlantic Blue for the last few years. No fuss, no muss. They come every second Thursday, and take white paper (obviously, from the pic above), newspapers, cardboard, plastics, tins and glass. With composting, it's meant that we're putting out a pretty small amount of stuff for the garbage pickup. I'd prefer that the city picked all this up, but ...
The Atlantic Blue site is:
