John I do not follow your blogs but connected from a related site so I am not exactly aware of where you are coming from, but you have written something of which I take a bit of issue. The partisan view that if you agree you totally agree or you are against me. I have and will continue to get the flue shot every year, knowing it is hit and miss, and I will get the H1N1 when it becomes available because I would rather error on the side of caution. But as far as the BS related to the H1N1, it is serious as we have not faced it is some time, but it is nowhere near what the media hype is presenting it to be (the regular flue casualties are much greater), in fact it is clogging our hospitals with hypochondriacs and other simple minded individuals that are unable to filter the medias need to sell copy vs actually reporting facts. When ever I see stat's in an article from a reporter I have to dig deeper because I cannot honestly give the vast majority of journalist the credit of actually understanding what they are reporting....of course aside from the fact that.."this stat sounds scarier than this one..hey therefore this one will sell more". Get past the hype. Be cautious but the plague is not on our door-step.

25 out of how many people? 1000 out of how many? Not saying your point isn't valid, but the ratios need to be considered.
