As Sunday's storm was settling in, our boy was out in the thick of it, turning the gobs of snow into a snowman. Alas, the subsequent wind lopped off the snowman's head, which made for a bit of a Calvin and Hobbes scene. The head has been restored to its rightful place.
Speaking of Calvin and Hobbes, there is a new book by Nevin Martell called Looking for Calvin and Hobbes: The Unconventional Story of Bill Watterson and his Revolutionary Comic Strip.
It offers some insight, albeit without any artwork, into the reclusive Watterson. Read an synopsis here:

Among other things the review states:If you can get past his “quest”, Martell has done some incredible research into Watterson’s early life and his entry into the admittedly frustrating world of syndicated comic strips, including his failed attempts at political cartooning. Plus, Martell has scored a remarkable number of interviews with the people who know Watterson best: family and friends, former co-workers and editors, and — most interesting of all — Watterson’s fellow comic strip artists, both peers and younger artists inspired by Watterson.
I may have to add an item to my Santa list.
